Why this supports your day
Chamomile, passionflower, and lemon balm have long histories of traditional use in calming and sleep-support contexts. They are not a treatment for sleep disorders. Herbal teas can be a mindful part of a wind-down routine — the warmth, ritual, and aroma may themselves signal the body that rest is approaching. Consult a healthcare professional before use if you take any medications.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp dried chamomile flowers
- ½ tsp dried passionflower herb
- ½ tsp dried lemon balm leaves
- 250 ml freshly boiled water (not rolling boil — around 90°C)
- 1 tsp raw honey (optional, added after steeping)
Method
- 1Combine the dried herbs in a tea infuser or loose-leaf strainer.
- 2Pour hot water over the herbs and cover the cup to retain volatile oils.
- 3Steep for 5–7 minutes.
- 4Remove the infuser. Stir in honey if desired once slightly cooled.
- 5Drink 30–60 minutes before bed as part of a consistent evening routine.
